Support for Wells Fargo union grows as third branch files for election, call center workers show solidarity

We’re excited to share that another Wells Fargo branch has officially filed to organize today!

Inquiries have been flooding in after the news of the Alaska and New Mexico branches that were the first to file on November 20th. The Wells Fargo branch in Daytona Beach, FL  is part of this second wave, with more expected to file in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Wells Fargo employees at several call center locations around the country leafletted in solidarity and to show support for a union for all Wells Fargo workers.

Allies have also been speaking out, including Sen. Brown who questioned Wells Fargo CEO Charlie Scharf directly during a hearing on bank accountability also happening today:

NEWS: The @WellsFargo CEO is refusing to stay neutral as branch employees attempt to organize a union.

These workers have every right to unionize. As one of the biggest banks on the planet, Wells Fargo must stay neutral and not engage in aggressive anti-union activity. pic.twitter.com/OZdfOf3bvj

Senator Sherrod Brown asked Wells Fargo CEO Charles Scharf if the company would stay neutral in union drives. Scharf said they wouldn't.
